About
SubstationScout is an independent research and software project focused on making public electrical infrastructure information easier to discover and use.
It was created by a former data center site-selection and colocation professional who subsequently moved into software development.
The project combines practical experience navigating utility-related site selection questions with modern data extraction, automation, and research tools.
The goal is not to replace utility engineers, planners, or formal feasibility studies — it's to make the information-gathering work that precedes those conversations faster, more accessible, and better organized.
